What's so great about salvage??

We are all salvaged people when we allow the Lord Jesus Christ to take control of the wrecked vessel that we become on our own. Not what you expected to hear, huh? But it's true!

Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice by coming into this world, setting an example of the way we should live our lives, and then allowing the wicked to nail him to a tree to die for you and me. His great commission to us is to go out and tell the world of what He has done to set us free from the sin that grips the world. We are to be in the world, but not of it. And those that choose to follow Him, shall spend eternity singing praises to the One who gave them life. This life is NOT easy to endure with all its hurts and pain, but through God's grace and strength, we CAN overcome. R.W. and I both have lived lives that at times were not pleasing to God. We strayed away from what we knew was right, and turned our back on the One who made us, yet He loved us still!! Our lives were not happy, and we were into things almost over our heads. But we finally came to a breaking point and realized that if we didn't turn our lives back to Jesus, then we would spend the rest of our lives burning in an eternal Hell. I was brought to this realization at the death of a very close cousin, seeing how precious is the life that is given to us, and yet how easily it can be taken away. While R.W. had come to a point in his life that he knew that Christ was the only one who could deliver him from the pit of alcohol, drugs and literal hell that he was living in. At such time that we gave our lives back to Christ, we became new creatures. He forgave us of all our past sins, and gave us a new life full of hope. Through all of this, R.W. and I were strangers, but soon afterwards we met at church and fell totally in love with each other, married, and are now happier than we ever dreamed we could be. Jesus salvaged the lives that we had created, and made them like new!

Do you want this kind of happiness? Well it's very simple. You're not guaranteed a life any easier, or a life free from hurt or pain, but I can promise you a life that has meaning and happiness if you keep your eyes upon the Lord.

Receiving Christ is as simple as ABC...
Admit that you have sinned,
Believe that Jesus Christ died for you,
Confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life.
